President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) arrived Monday morning at the President's Office to meet with President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
Solih went to the President's Office upon President Yameen's invitation. This would be the first time both the presidential election candidates are meeting post elections.
President Yameen and Solih are to have a joint press conference at the President's Office at 12:30 P.M.

Solih leaves President's Office after meeting President Yameen. Since Solih left from the President's Office, the joint press conference seems unlikely.
President Yameen to meet Progressive Party of Maldives's parliamentary group members. The meeting is to be held in PPM's office.

President's running mate Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed congratulations, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's win in the Presidential Elections.
He expressed hope that the country would see progress with Solih's leadership and urged the people to aid him to lead the country.

President Yameen declares that he accepts the results of the Presidential Election and that he will continue to serve the people.
The President apologises to the nation and states that he will step aside after November 17.
He assured that the transition of governments will go smoothly and urged everyone to maintain peace.
