Elections Commission (EC), on Tuesday, publicized the final voters' registry for the upcoming presidential elections slated for September 23.
According to the final voters' registry, a total of 262,135 people are eligible to vote in the 2018 presidential elections.
Whilst EC revealed that a total of 5,626 forms submitted for re-registration were rejected, the commission is yet to specify the number of re-submitted forms and the number of complaints filed on the re-registration process.
EC member Ahmed Akram stated that the voters' registry will be sent to all political parties on Wednesday and added that the commission will shortly reveal the date for candidate signatories on the registry.
A total of 10,506 monitors and 1,895 officials will observe the upcoming presidential election. EC further revealed that 34 international monitors and 25 international observer invitees will also partake in the monitoring of the election.
