Tree Top Hospital in reclaimed suburb Hulhumale will provide coverage for Aasandha medical insurance for all of the hospitals services starting Tuesday.
An official from the hospital stated that much like other hospitals, Tree Top will also implement a policy in which patients can utilize their Aasandha medical insurance, easing their struggles.
He added that Tree Top pharmacy will accept Aasandha starting Wednesday.
Previously, the only patients at Tree Top who received Aasandha were those hospitalised for emergency reasons, but with the new policy, patients can receive insurance coverage for consultations and any medical procedures explicitly covered by Aasandha, from the ultra-modern hospital.
Tree Top Hospital has also announced special prices for Maldivians. Previously, Maldivians had to pay MVR 525 for a consultation appointment, but since the introduction of Aasandha, Tree Top has allocated MVR 200 to be covered by Aasandha. Citizens will now have to pay MVR 325 from their own pockets for consultations.
