A fire broke out at the overwater spa located in St. Regis Vommuli Resort on Saturday, causing extensive damages to the property.
According to the MNDP media official, the fire was reported at approximately 09:05 am and was brought under control within an hour, although regional authorities continued their work well into the day.
No individuals were harmed during the incident, however the resort sustained significant structural damages to the area.
Although the fire badly damaged the building, no casualties were reported.
Due to on going investigations, Vommuli Resort has not made any comments regarding the incident.
