The Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has started accepting application forms to acquire flats under the governments shelter program, starting Sunday.
The Housing Ministry tweeted stating that applications will be accepted until July from Rannabandeyri Maalan in Dharubaaruge convention centre.
Apart from issuing token numbers from Dharubaaruge itself, applicants can take tokens via the QueueBee application. Token issuing would be stopped 30 minutes ahead of closing time.
The Housing Ministry's spokesperson Ahmed Fazaal said that submissions will be accepted everyday, except Fridays, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again from 09:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Fazaal added that tokens will be issued separately for each category, with more being granted for the busiest factions.
The 7,000 housing units constructed under the state shelter program by the Housing Ministry are to be distributed to applicants from 12 different categories.
Although submission started, forms will be distributed and accepted until July 31. Forms are available for download through the official website of the Housing Ministry.
