A local man and expat have been injured in two gang violence incidents in Kaafu Atoll's Dhiffushi.
Police spokesperson revealed that the incident was reported around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The injured expat, a 56-year-old German man, was treated at Dhiffushi's health centre and discharged the same night.
The spokesperson further said that the second gang violence report came in around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday. The victim was a 43-year-old Maldivian male. The man was brought to capital city Male for further treatment and is currently under observation at state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
Two arrests have been made over the gang violence in Dhiffushi. However, it has not yet been disclosed whether the two cases were connected.
