The Criminal Court late Saturday ordered to remand Galolhu South MP Ahmed Mahloof by 13 days.
Mahloof, who was arrested February 22 from an opposition rally, had been detained under the ongoing state of emergency. The court made the decision during his remand hearing on Saturday.
Mahloof is one of the lawmakers that have been arrested during the series of opposition protests held after the government refused to comply with the Supreme Court's verdict of February 1 ordering to release political prisoners.
The police had arrested over 140 individuals from the major protest held Friday night alone, marking the second biggest mass arrest of civilians since the "May Day" rally of 2015.
