The driver of the car involved in the accident in Addu City has been arrested.
The accident, which occurred between a car and motorcycle on Addu's Link Road, took place late Saturday night. The driver of the motorcycle, Mohamed Rashmu Riyaz, 28, was instantly killed due to multiple severe injuries.
Mihaaru has come to know that Maradhoo Magistrate Court has remanded him by 15 days.
There were three people in the car during the accident. However, only the driver has been arrested so far.
The accident allergedly took place while the car was racing along Link Road. Rashmu was on his way to work at the time.
According to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.
