Hulhumale' Hospital has launched the services of the latest Cardiovascular Ultrasound Scan System.
The GE HealthCare Vivid E95 system was supplied by STO Medicals as part of ongoing efforts to equip healthcare facilities with cutting-edge diagnostic technology and strengthen care across specialized services.
STO said that the system was delivered through its partnership with GE HealthCare, a globally renowned leader in medical imaging and healthcare technology.
The machine was inaugurated along with an Application Training Session held at Hulhumale' Hospital on February 22.
STO said that the GE HealthCare Vivid E95 system delivers high-resolution cardiac imaging that clearly visualizes blood flow, cardiac abnormalities, and overall heart function.
The system can be used for patients of all ranges, from newborns, to children, to adults. The service will assist in early diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions, the company said.
STO said that the introduction of GE HealthCare Vivid E95 system at Hulhumale' Hospital is a further step forward in their efforts in collaboration with healthcare facilities to expand diagnostic services and provide quality healthcare in the Maldives.
STO said that specialized services such as this will enhance the capabilities of local health facilities and reduce Maldivians' reliance on overseas healthcare.
