New bus stops being installed ahead of residents moving into FDC flats

New bus stops are being installed in Hulhumale' Phase 2 before residents begin moving in to the 4000 flats granted under the Gedhoruveriya housing scheme.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) said that the bus stops are being installed prior to residents moving in to the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) flats so as to improve transport access for residents.

The area where the flats are located doesn’t have any bus stops yet, as no one lives there currently.

The government is currently working on signing agreements with all flat recipients.

The keys to the apartments will be handed over to the recipients once they pay the security deposit. The security deposit is set at MVR 15,000 for two bedroom apartments and MVR 25,000 for three bedroom apartments.
