Finance Ministry has announced that they are seeking a developer to construct police stations in six islands.
As per the announcement, development of police stations are planned for L. Maavah, M. Muli, R. Maduvvari, Sh. Feevah, Th. Thimarafushi and Th. Veymandoo.
In addition to constructing these police stations, they are also seeking a party to construct police accommodation blocks in HDh. Dhihdhoo and HDh. Kulhudhuhfushi, the announcement states.
Bid security for the project is set at between MVR 72,250 and MVR 212,500. An non-refundable fee of MVR 500 will be charged for every application. The payments will be accepted until July 22.
The ministry said that the bid will proceed in line with construction regulations and Foreign Direct Investment policy.
Bids can be submitted via the Beelan portal before 1 pm on July 29. Bids will be opened at 10am on July 30.
In March, the government contracted three companies to build police stations in 75 other inhabited islands. These three companies are Fenaka Corporation (40 police stations), RDC (20 police stations) and MTCC (15 police stations).
