The futsal field developed in Centara Ras Fushi resort in Kaafu atoll Giraavaru island for its staff was unveiled Tuesday.
The futsal field was established by Food Stuff Pvt Ltd, the operator of Centara Ras Fushi’s staff restaurant and bar, under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
In a special ceremony held Tuesday evening, the futsal field was officially opened by lawmaker of Mahibadhoo constituency and the former president of Football Association of Maldives (FAM), Ahmed Thoriq. Centara’s general manager and top officials of Food Stuff Pvt Ltd were also in attendance.
To mark the grand opening, a futsal match was held between the staff of Centara Ras Fushi and Centara Grand which the former bagged with a score of 3-2.
The management of Centara Ras Fushi said that establishing a futsal field for its staff was long dreamed of and thanked Food Stuff for making it a reality.
Centara Ras Fushi is now looking to host the inter resort futsal tournaments in the future as well as participate in FAM’s resort futsal championship.
