Main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has elected two new deputy leaders for its Parliamentary Group, Meedho MP Rozaina Adam and Medhu Henveiru MP Ali Azim.

Both lawmakers won the election after competing with Maafannu North MP Imthiyaz Fahumy.

Out of MDP's parliamentary group positions, an election was necessary only for the post of deputy leaders as all other posts were succeeded without election.

The current leader of the PG group, lawmaker of Hinnavaru constituency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, succeeded another term by default.
