Member of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) Mohamed Zahid’s name has been submitted to Parliament to be appointed as the Vice President of the commission.
Zahid, who was the former vice president of the first HRCM, was appointed again to fill the vacancy left by former member Shifag Mufeed last month.
The matter is scheduled for Monday’s parliament sitting.
In addition, the question time for Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim by Kinbidhoo MP Abdulla Riyaz has also been scheduled for Monday’s session. This questioning is to clarify a date for the installation of water and sewerage system in the islands of Kinbidhoo, Hirilandhoo,Vandhoo, Omadhoo and Kandu hulhudhoo.
