The government has announced that it is accepting applications for the post of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA)'s Commissioner General of Taxation.
The President's Office announced that it will be accepting applications between 08:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs on February 20 and 21.
Interested individuals can either download the application form from the official President's Office website, or collect a hard copy from the office's reception.
The post has become vacant following the resignation of Fathuhulla Jameel from the post. He has worked in the field for a long time, having served as Director General at MIRA prior to being Commissioner. He was appointed to the position of Commissioner General of Taxation on October 28, 2019 by then ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)'s administration.
While the reports are as of yet unconfirmed, it is widely believed that he resigned from his post last week to run for the parliamentary elections through MDP.
