Local model Raudha Athif, 20, was found hanged in her hostel in Bangladesh on Wednesday.
According to Bangladeshi media, she was found in her hostel room around noon on Wednesday by her friends who went looking for her after failing to contact Raudha.
The Maldivian model, whose uncommon blue eyes had garnered fame on social media a few years ago, had been a second year studying medicine at the Islami Bank Medical College & Hospital in Bangladesh.
Media reports cited Police that Raudha’s body was taken to the hospital upon receiving the report of her death. The police are currently probing the case and awaiting Raudha’s autopsy report.
Raudha’s modelling stints had included a feature on the cover of Vogue India.
