A Maldivian man with half a kilogram of drugs was arrested in India on Tuesday.
According to Indian media, the man named Anil Ahmed, 35, was arrested in Bangalore along with his accomplice, a Nigerian national. The report cited the Narcotics Control Bureau of India that Ahmed was arrested last November as well with 1.8 kilograms of drugs in possession but had absconded since then.
Officials seized 430 grams of marijuana, 48 grams of hashish oil, three grams of methamphetamine and five blots of LSD from the two men. It is believed the duo were selling the drugs to local dealers.
Both offenders are currently under judicial custody.
