The Hulhumalé Magistrate Court has remanded the man who was arrested on Friday in connection with obstructing President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's motorcade.
The individual arrested on Friday was opposition Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) activist Mohamed Abbas. The party confirmed on Saturday that the court had remanded him in custody for five days.
