The luxury yacht of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdul Aziz arrived in the Maldives on Tuesday ahead of the monarch’s impending official visit scheduled for coming Saturday.
The “Al Salamah” is now docked off the coast of capital Male.
Foreign media cited Charter World that the eight-storey yacht is the tenth biggest yacht in the world. Measuring 139 metre in length, it features 22 cabins with a capacity of 40 people. The seventh storey of the yacht is for the king’s personal use with four cabins, an on-board hospital, the king’s office, secretary office and two staff offices.
Launched by a German company in 1999, the mega yacht is ultra-luxurious with state-of-the-art facilities including gym, cinema, hospital, offices, lounges, library, business centre, saloon and spa.
