Police sent a summons to two journalists of local television channel Raajje TV, Ahmed Fairooz and Amzoon Ahmed, to present themselves to police headquarters on Tuesday.
According to Police, the two journalists are being summoned for questioning and to take their statements regarding an ongoing case. Police did not disclose further details.
Meanwhile, two other reporters and a cameraman of Raajje TV were recently convicted of obstructing police and fined.
One of the journalists, Mohamed Visam, will receive his verdict for a second case against him this Thursday while their CEO Hussain Fiyaz is undergoing a separate criminal trial for allegedly striking a policeman.
