The Maldives government has reopened the opportunity to apply for the 48 flats developed in Hulhumeedhoo ward of Addu atoll.
According to Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, the government reopened applications as there are not enough applicants for Category A and, hence, to give the chance for residents of other islands in Addu atoll to shift to Hulhumedhoo island.
Hence, Category C has been added and applications are open till March 2.
The government has also developed 264 flats in Hithadhoo ward as well. However, the draw has not been conducted yet despite the announcement that it would be held last November.
The down payment for the flats is MVR 25,000 with a monthly rent of MVR 3,000.
