State seeks 11 years for ex-MMPRC head after confession

The state, on Monday, sought 11 years of imprisonment for former Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) Abdulla Ziyath.

The state, on Monday, sought 11 years of imprisonment for former Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) Abdulla Ziyath.

This request was made after Ziyath confessed to 32 charges of corruption regarding the MMPRC embezzlement scandal in Criminal Court under a plea bargain with the government.
