Maldivian Ambassador presents credentials to UAE Vice President

Resident Maldivian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates Aminath Shabeena, on Monday, presented her credentials to UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The ceremony was held at the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting following the ceremony, the UAE President congratulated Ambassador Shabeena on her appointment and conveyed greetings to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the Maldivian people.

Notably, the Vice President expressed UAE's commitment to assist the Maldivian government's efforts to boost socio-economic development.

In response, Ambassador Shabeena expressed gratitude for UAE's contribution to several of Maldives' development sectors. She also guaranteed that Maldives would collaborate closely with UAE to further strengthen long standing bilateral ties between the two countries.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid congratulated Ambassador Shabeena on presenting her credentials and expressed confidence that the diplomatic relationship between Maldives and UAE would strengthen under her guidance.
