Police make 2 more arrests over Fariva Stay robbery

Maldives Police Service, on Wednesday, confirmed that two more suspects were arrested over the robbery which took place at the guesthouse, 'Fariva Stay' in capital Male'.

According to the police, three individuals pretending to be police intelligence officers bound three staff members with plastic cable ties before looting the place, on Wednesday morning.

Regarding the case, police arrested a 42-year-old Maldivian male on Thursday. He was remanded for a period of 15 days by the court.

Police further confirmed on Sunday that two local males, aged 43 and 38, were arrested on Sunday and Monday respectively. Both of these suspects were also remanded for 15 days.

Although police revealed no further details about the incident or perpetrators, they assured that the matter was currently under investigation.
