Police on Thursday revealed that four individuals were arrested on Thursday in connection to the theft of a local 'Dhoni' vessel, that was stolen from Ungoofaaru Island in Raa Atoll.
According to authorities, the theft was reported at 0015 hours.
At the time, the dhoni in question was docked at Ungoofaaru harbour.
The four arrested included two 18-year-olds, a 28-year-old and a 29-year-old, all local males.
They were taken into police custody from the island Maakurathun, also located in Raa Atoll, at approximately 0050 hours.
Further investigations are underway, as per the police's official spokesperson.
