Maldives Police Service, on Sunday, announced a search for former prominent singer Mukhthar Adam over a case lodged at Civil Court.
According to Police, Civil Court ordered the authorities to take Mukhthar under custody and deliver him to court for a hearing scheduled for 1330hrs on January 23, following his failure to attend a hearing on 19, 2019, on a case of proven debt.
Therefore, Police request any individuals with information about the singer to come forward with any details.
Mukhthar was a popular singer who rose to stardom starting from the 1990s to the early 2000s. Although his singing career came to a halt over a decade ago, Mukhthar's songs, especially the vocalist's hits such as 'Hinithunvelaashey Kalaa' are still well known amongst the public.
