Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that a Maldivian child was in critical condition after falling from a building in Sri Lanka.
As per local media outlet Mihaaru, the three-year-old child fell from a third floor apartment in Dehiwala, Colombo.
The foreign ministry provided assurances that the Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka would offer any required assistance to the child's family.
The child is currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the fall at a hospital.
