Maldives Police Service, on Sunday, revealed that a violent altercation took place in Maafannu Ward, in the capital city of Malé.
According to presently available information at the time of reporting, the police surmise that the confrontation involved sharp objects and took place between two foreigners. Both individuals are Indian nationals.
Police officers arrived at the scene of the crime after the incident was reported at approximately 1126 hrs.
The two are currently receiving medical treatment.
The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
