The government of Japan on Tuesday, completed the donation of over 10,000 surgical face masks.
Released in two batches, Japanese private companies donated the masks in an effort to curb the recent outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCov).
The first batch was sent by Yamaki Co. Ltd on February 2, while the second batch was handed over on Tuesday. Yamaki Co. Ltd has operated a factory in Addu City for the past four years.
State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel thanked the private companies for their support.
