Police on Saturday night arrested a 56-year-old man accused of sexually abusing a 5-year-old.
Police disclosed that the arrest took place at 2304 hours. The suspect was taken to court and has been remanded for a period of 15 days.
The case was reported to the police late Friday.
The new case surfaced amidst an ongoing investigation into the sexual abuse of a two-year-old girl, which came to light last Thursday. Police on Friday arrested the victim's grandfather and great-grandfather on sexual abuse charges, and her father for negligence. The three men have also been remanded for 15 days.
