Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), on Tuesday, stated that one of its speedboats had caught fire while travelling near Guraidhoo, Kaafu Atoll.
Media officer Major Ibrahim Azim revealed that the incident occurred aboard the vessel 'Velana Launch' at approximately 1555 hrs.
The flames were extinguished by the MNDF officers aboard the vessel.
No individuals were harmed during the incident.
