Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) appointed Raufa Haidhar as registrar of the Supreme Court on Sunday.
Prior to her appointment, she was the court's legal officer.
Raufa first joined the apex court as an assistant legal officer on November 19, 2011. Her rank changed following amendments to the framework of the court's legal posts on November 6, 2019.
In addition, she served as the acting registrar from April 8, 2013 to May 7, 2014.
DJA announced applications for the post of Supreme Court registrar last month. The authority is yet to disclose the number of applicants received.
The registrar of the top court receives a monthly remuneration of MVR 36,000.
