Judicial Service Commission (JSC) announced its decision to conduct a strategic audit of the Supreme Court.
In a statement released late Sunday, JSC disclosed that the objective of the audit is to look into the administrative and financial operations of the apex court.
The audit will be conducted by Department of Judicial Administration (DJA)'s internal unit, overseen by the judicial administration committee.
JSC also announced its decision to form an investigative committee and probe issues filed against four magistrates.
In addition, the commission will re-open applications for 14 magistrate vacancies, following insufficient response to its initial announcement. However, JSC assured that parties that have already submitted applications need not submit again.
