Sparkhub announced its acceptance into the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Activate programme on Wednesday.

“We are very excited to work with AWS, and to offer local startups free access to a range of services via AWS Activate", said Sparkhub's CEO Hussain Jinan.

"At Sparkhub, our aim is to create an environment for startups to thrive in the Maldives and as we grow as a company, we hope to provide more opportunities for startups in our country to innovate further".

Sparkhub aims to provide opportunities for Maldivian startups to obtain "limited-time free access" to a diverse range of services during the early startup phase through the programme.

AWS is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform and is utilized by some of the world’s leading startups including Airbnb, Lyft and Slack.
