Vice President Faisal Naseem attended the function held to celebrate the 129th anniversary of Maldives Customs Service late Thursday.
Addressing at the ceremony held at the Islamic Center, Vp Naseem hailed custom officers for the notable role they play in their line of duty.
He also urged officers to excel in their jobs and to become role models for the future generations through promoting service excellence in all aspects of their work.
Additionally, the Vp advised Customs officers to uphold their highest level of integrity at all times and to provide quality service to the public.
During this ceremony, Vp Naseem handed out certificates to nominated staff and launched a special logo representing the coming 130th anniversary of Maldives Customs Service.
