President Solih appoints deputy minister for Islamic Affairs

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Wednesday, appointed Hussain Shareef as Deputy Minister for Islamic Affairs.

Shareef holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Shariah and Law with honours from Villa College.

The native of Thinadhoo, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll also served at managerial level positions within the private sector over the past 20 years.

Ahmedhullah Jameel and Shafiu Ali also currently serve at the Islamic Ministry as deputy ministers. Hence, with this appointment, the ministry would have three deputy ministers in total.
