Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the second round of Maldives-Japan Policy Dialogue on Tuesday.
During the consultation, the two countries reviewed and discussed areas for further bilateral cooperation including economic collaboration, increasing people to people exchanges, as well as regional and international issues.
While the Japanese delegation was led by Director General of Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shigeki Takizaki, Maldives was represented by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel.
The first round of the discussion was held in Tokyo, Japan, in 2018.
