'Souk', the brand new supermarket by City Investment Pvt Ltd open doors to customers on August 3.
The two-storey shop, inaugurated by Male' city Mayor Shifa Mohamed, boasts a first of its kind in-store baking station, a fresh juice presser and dine-in facilities.
Unlike most shops, the supermarket opens its doors at 0600 hrs and operates seven days of the week. The shop aims to provide consumers with superior prices and a wide variety of high-quality products.
Speaking on behalf of City Investments, Aisha Didi highlighted the company's continuous efforts to understand its clientele needs and demands to achieve customer satisfaction, adding that the company believes in innovation without compromising quality and service.
Souk was conceptualized in Austria by Umadasch Group, a multinational company that specializes in shopfitting. The team assembled the store located in Orchid Magu in Maafannu district.
Multiple International brands such as Pregel Gelato, Darbo, Fentimens and Compal are available, including a line of grass-fed Australian beef in its meat section.
Housing a bakery counter, the company added an additional outlet to its 'City Bakery' line.
In addition to food and beverage items, Souk retails City Investment's product line of coffee machines and baking equipment and offers installation and repair services.
The group of companies was established in 2005. However, the company has operated its bakery business since 2002. City Investments is one of the leading local and resort suppliers in the industry and imports products from Austria, England, France, Italy and more.
Among the popular outlets the company operates and manages are City Snacks, City Garden, City Gelato, City Bakery and four City Bakery showrooms. As such, Souk is its newest addition to the 'City Family'.
