National health insurance provider Aasandha Company announced on Friday that issues surfacing whilst attaining Aasandha services from hospitals in India's Trivandrum and Cochin were now resolved.

A statement released by the company explained that Aasandha services were provided in the mentioned regions via a Third Party Administrator. As the TPA halted their functions last Monday without prior notice, the provision of the national health insurance scheme was also subsequently affected.

The company also communicated that Aasandha services can now be obtained at Ananthapuri Hospitals, Chaithanya Hospitals, Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), KIMS Hospital as well as Amrita Hospital.

Aasandha Company requested any patients experiencing difficulties in obtaining their services to reach out on the hotline 1400.

The state healthcare scheme was introduced in 2012 during the presidency of Mohamed Nasheed. In 2014, the Aasandha policy was expanded to 'unlimited' coverage by former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
