Vice President Faisal Naseem, on Thursday, visited Hanimaadhoo, Haa Dhaal Atoll as part of a series of visits to several islands located in the atoll.
The Vice President was welcomed by a group of the island's residents upon arrival.
During the visit, he toured Hanimaadhoo School and deliberated with the school's management concerning obstacles to the smooth conduction of educational activities.
The senior management stressed the urgent need to refurbish school infrastructure which is currently in very poor condition, resulting in severe flooding during periods of heavy rainfall.
In response, Vice President Faisal assured the school management of the government's eagerness to resolve the concerns raised during the discussion.
The Vice President's next stop will be Kulhudhuffushi, Haa Dhaal Atoll.
