Local telecommunications giant Ooredoo Maldives celebrated its 14th anniversary and extended facilitations to all its shareholders, partners, customers, well-wishers and employees on Thursday.

"In these 14 years, we have seen a transformational change in the telecommunications and ICT landscape of the Maldives, and we are happy that we have contributed to this transformation", said Chief Executive Officer Najib Khan.

"...From 2G to 3G, from the first submarine capable out of the Maldives, from a country-wide submarine cable connecting most of the islands, from a 100 percent 4G+ connectivity and democratization of broadband across the islands, it has been absolutely exciting for us."
