Police stated that they were investigating a matter related to the molestation of women in the streets of capital city Male’ on June 25, and asked for those that faced similar incidents on that day to come forward.
According to police, a report was made regarding men on a motorcycle harassing and sexually abusing a woman passing by.
Police also stated that two more identical issues were reported on the same day.
Recently in another case, pictures and information of an elderly man who allegedly harassed two women were circulating on social media. Police are investigating this case as well.
