MMPRC kicks off 'Journey to the Sunny Side' roadshow in India

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), on Monday, commenced 'Journey to the Sunny Side' roadshow in India, to promote travel opportunities across the Maldivian archipelago.

The roadshow will last till June 28, in Bangalore, Mumbai, Calcutta, New Delhi and Chandigarh. This is the third showcase held under the programme.

A total of 25 Maldivian companies are taking part in the event. MMPRC stated that these companies will get the opportunity to meet Indian operators and promote Maldives.

Two participants from each city will be gifted a trip sponsored by global brand Shangri-La's Villingili Resort and Spa, based in Addu Atoll.

According to MMPRC, the roadshow is aimed at increasing the influx of Indian tourists to Maldives.

This year, the country experienced a rise in Indian tourists in Maldives. Statistics indicate that Indian tourists placed third on the list of nationals that visited Maldives the most, by May this year.
