Delegates started arriving in Maldives on Saturday to take part in the Maldives Partnership Forum 2019.

The forum, which is set to be held at Bouganvilla Conference Hall in Kurumba Maldives Resort will start on June 17 and conclude on June 18.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid and Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer will speak at

This is the first time such a largest number of foreign delegates are attending a forum in Maldives. Several ambassadors to Maldives residing in Colombo, Sri Lanka and New Delhi will also attend the forum.

While many have arrived today, the rest of the attendees will be arriving on Sunday.

Kurumba Resort is fully prepared to host this event.

The forum will be split into five main sessions:

Session one - Macroeconomic and Fiscal Overview.

Session two - Blue Economy: Addressing inclusivity and sustainability in economic development.

Session three: Enhancing Social Outcomes: Investing in healthcare, education, and housing.

Session four - Building Robust Institutions: Addressing Governance and Justice.

Session five - Partnering with the Private Sector for Development.

On Sunday, Minister Shahid and Minister Ameer will brief the press about the forum.

Additionally, the Foreign Minister will host a reception to the attendees of the forum on Sunday at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa.
