Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) revealed that the fire that broke out in state hospital Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has been brought under control.
Spokesperson for MNDF Ibrahim Azim stated that a battery in the engine room caught fire. He added that within 15 minutes of reports, the fire was brought under control.
No one suffered any injuries during the incident.
Additionally, apart from having to shift those in the emergency room due to smoke, there were no other damages.
