Maldives Police Service on Tuesday revealed that they have tracked down a private car that fled after collision with the highway dividers connecting to Sinamale' Bridge.

According to Police, the vehicle was found at approximately 1100 hours parked in a garage. They also revealed that the car was towed to be brought under police investigation.

While no other vehicles were damaged in the incident, the front of the car in question was damaged. Many of the highway partitions dividing the two lanes at a certain point in Sinamale' Bridge were broken in the accident that occurred at around 1000 hours.

Furthermore, the driver of the private car that collided with the dividers did not receive any injuries.

The photos taken of the accident depict that the broken partitions were the dividers at the start of the route from Hulhumale' to capital city Male'. Images show that private car seemed to be traveling to Hulhumale' as well.

Highway dividers were last damaged in an accident that occurred on May 9, where some of the dividers were also broken. After the accident, however, the dividers were not replaced.
