Maldivian offers special one day Addu-Trivandrum flight

The state airline, Maldivian, will operate a special flight from Gan in Addu Atoll, to India's Trivandrum on December 1.

Island Aviation Service (IAS), which operates Maldivian, released a statement Tuesday saying that the offer from Gan to the most popular destination in India for Maldivians, will be available only for the first of December.

The one-way fare costs USD 99 (MVR 1520.67).

In addition, Maldivian will also operate flights from Gan to Trivandrum to Male’ on that day, with a one-way fare of USD 250 (MVR 3,840).

According to an official from Maldivian, the flight from Addu to Trivandrum has been arranged as a special treat for the customers for the annual school holiday season.

“Even previously, we did offer special fares during the holiday season,” he said.

Currently, Maldivian is the only airline that operates to Gan, while the domestic airline FlyMe is prepping fo rregular flights to Addu and Fuahmulah from next week onwards.

Sri Lankan Airlines is also preparing a schedule to operate from Colombo to Addu.
