Dhiraagu has signed to be the digital partner of the 'Girls Can' campaign run through the collaboration of Australia's Netfit Netball, Green Strees Netball and MV Netters.
Netfit Netball is the largest netball digital programme in the world, with over 100,000 members. The objective of the 'Girls Can' campaign run in collaboration with Netfit is to empower girls in the field of sports, build confidence, challenge stereotypes and to further develop netball in the Maldives.
Dhiraagu revealed that in the coming three weeks, Australia's elite netball player and Netfit CEO and founder Sarah Wall and World Champion Sharni Norder will be conducting on-site training programmes. This includes sessions with the Netball Academies, clinics, coaching workshops, netball clubs as well as the national netball team. They will also be conducting mass classes targeted towards the participation of school netball teams.
Dhiraagu states that these classes would offer opportunities to young players of the sport to develop new skills and improve in the game.
Dhiraagu said that empowering youth and providing opportunities for development is among the key targets of their CSR initiatives.
