With Bank of Maldives (BML) ATMs now placed in all inhabited islands in Haa Alif (HA) atoll and Dhaalu (Dh) atoll, MVR 25 million has been deposited through these ATMs to date, the bank has said.
In a post on X, BML shared statistics indicating that from the 14 ATMs recently placed in various islands of HA atoll, MVR 15 million has been deposited as of now. Deposits of MVR 10 million was also received from seven islands in Dh atoll.
As per the records of HA atoll, between March 24 and April 9, there were 21,600 transactions made via the ATMs, totaling MVR 50 million.
In Dhaalu atoll, 13,000 transactions were made between February 25 and April 9, worth MVR 47 million.
Across Maldives, MVR 29 million was deposited per day on average, and transactions of MVR 99 million were carried out each day.
BML currently has 39 branches in 20 atolls, 107 self service banking centres, 165 ATMs, agent banking services and also offers modern online services.
BML aims to place ATMs in all inhabited islands by the end of the year.
