President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has established the president-elect's office to oversee the tasks necessary during the transitional process.
In a resolution issued, the president has directed the preparation of important information about government agencies. This is to facilitate a smooth transition for the president-elect, ensuring the seamless functioning of government agencies and the uninterrupted delivery of services to the people.
The resolution also directed that government agencies should send documents to the president-elect's office through the "Government e-Letter Management System".
President Solih also urged individuals in positions appointed by the president under the constitution and laws to continue performing their assigned duties until the conclusion of the current presidential term.
People's National Congress (PNC) chairperson Abdul Raheem Abdulla has been appointed as the Director General of Transition under the Transition Process Act. He will lead the transition process, overseeing the change of regime affairs.
On behalf of the President's Office, Secretary of Corporate Service, Hussain Amir, has been appointed to oversee the transition process.
